Merry (belated) Christmas! We hope that you and yours had a happy, healthy, and safe Christmas day.
The holiday may be over, but the need to stay on guard against the Coronavirus isn’t. Which means we’re back with one final installment in this series of tips on ways to celebrate the season while reducing our risk of spreading the virus. And good thing, too, since New Year’s Eve is just a week away. Here, an idea on one way to ring in the new year while staying in your PJs.
Virtual New Year’s Eve
Hello, 2021! Finally!
It’s been a long, tough year. If you’re planning a virtual New Year’s Eve party, try these suggestions to keep your group video chat light, bright and celebratory.
- Ask everyone to come prepared with a favorite song for celebrating. Then use a free platform like Spotify to create a shared playlist that’ll keep everyone rocking in 2021.
- Share one New Year’s resolution apiece. Sharing goals with others helps us stay motivated.
- Trade well-wishes for 2021. Go around the group to give toasts for the new year. Write them down or use an online word cloud generator so everyone can print and post at home for inspiration.
- Have a countdown: Simple, but oh so fun. Keep an eye on the clock and have pots, pans and noisemakers ready. When the ball starts to drop, count down together to ring in 2021.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our Safe at Home for the Holidays series. Have a healthy and happy new year!
