A Message about Coronavirus (COVID-19)

June 2021

Acacia Creek cares deeply about our residents, staff, and clients.  We wanted to give you an update on our steps to keep our residents and staff healthy and safe.

We want to keep you updated on the status of the virus on our shared campus with the Masonic Homes of California.  Please click here for the daily update.

We have established, in unison with Masonic Homes of California, a Clinical Task Force that has been monitoring the Coronavirus situation on a daily basis and preparing for potential impact on our community. This task force has been following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the California Department of Public Health, as well as local county authorities to establish temporary policies to protect our residents.   These policies and procedures for residents and staff are designed to prevent the virus from infection on our campuses, from hand-washing and dining room procedures, to travel and sick policies, to working with vendors to ensure that we have adequate supplies to continue our high level of quality of care and services.

Visitors and Guests

Due to our higher risk populations, and to comply with state, federal, and local guidelines,  we have instituted temporary limited visitation policies during this outbreak.  Please note that these may change at any time, so please check back for more information.

Individual Preventive Steps

Please help to control the spread of the virus with these preventative steps.  The CDC reports that the spread of COVID-19 appears to occur mainly by person-to-person transmission.  The California Department of Public Health advises the following steps to prevent the spread of all respiratory viruses:

  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow.
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home if you become sick with respiratory symptoms like fever and cough.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.

It is important to us that our communities stay healthy and safe.   Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns.
