You must be 60 years of age and financially able to meet the terms of the Residence and Care Agreement. If you will be purchasing a residence with your spouse, both you and your spouse must be at least 60 years old.

Yes – all of our residences include private outdoor decks or patios. In addition, there are a number of walking trails and open outdoor spaces throughout our 305-acre campus. View sample floor plans here.
Yes – all of our residential units come with a secured, indoor parking space.
Yes. Although Acacia Creek is located in an extremely safe area, our campus is protected by 24-hour security. All guests must register before entering the campus.
We provide a variety of transportation services, including shuttle bus service to local shopping areas and cultural and recreational events. In addition, residents have convenient access to public transportation systems, including Union City’s bus service and the Bay Area’s famous BART trains, which reach both the San Francisco and Oakland airports. Individual transportation to events or distant locations may be provided for an additional charge.
Absolutely! We encourage residents to individualize their homes. Before moving in, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your home with your choice of paint, carpeting, vinyl flooring, and other interior design appointments. Yes. Each residence includes a storage locker, which is located in the campus parking garage.
You can entertain guests as you always have, including inviting visitors for overnight stays.* Guest rooms may also be reserved for a modest fee. While at Acacia Creek, guests are welcome to enjoy all campus facilities. The cost of meals and other charges incurred by your guests can be paid upon use or added to your monthly statement. Each guest can stay in the apartment home up to 45 days a year, 2 weeks at a time.
Yes. Acacia Creek recognizes the importance of pets in the lives of residents. We welcome pets with prior approval of management.
Acacia Creek is licensed to provide assisted living services in all residences. Available services include bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, and assistance with medications. Each resident develops a care plan with the health and wellness manager.
Four levels of care are available; care levels may be charged as additional services.
Private duty attendants may provide services in Acacia Creek residences, providing that they comply with all state and Acacia Creek requirements.
Acacia Creek is an independent/assisted living community with individual apartments. We offer basic health care services and assistance, and have a fulltime, licensed nurse who acts as a health and wellness manager, overseeing all aspects of care, including assessments, medication assistance, and communication with family and physicians. Skilled nursing and memory care programs are offered on campus, and medical centers and hospitals are easily accessible.
Skilled nursing services are provided at the Masonic Home – located adjacent to the Acacia Creek campus.
The IRS may recognize a portion of both the entry fee and the monthly fee as a prepaid medical expense deduction. Because Acacia Creek is a not-for-profit organization, gifts made to the community may also be tax deductible. Residents are encouraged to consult their personal tax advisors regarding any possible tax benefits.
Residents pay an entry fee; a monthly fee, which varies according to apartment selected and level of care needed; and fees for optional services, if applicable.
Yes – our monthly fee includes fresh, delicious meals. The number of meals varies by the level of care selected. Our assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care programs include three prepared meals a day; the residential living program includes one prepared meal, with the option to purchase additional meals.
Yes, we offer a variety of dining options to suit resident needs, including heart-healthy, vegetarian, low-sodium, and low/no-sugar menu selections. A Dietician is also available to customize a personal menu for a fee.
Entrance fees are 100% returnable within the first 90 days of move-in, should you choose to move out. After the 90-day cancellation period, the entrance fee is returnable based on the contract signed upon move-in. The returnable portion of the entrance fee is returned after the residence has been resold. Please speak with a retirement counselor for details.
